POST-SECONDARY STUDENTS, RECENT GRADUATES AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TOGETHER IN COMMUNITIES FROM COAST TO COAST TO COAST.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created economic and social challenges for post-secondary students and recent graduates, and notable disruptions to the essential community services provided by not-for-profit organizations.

In response, the Government of Canada has created the Canada Student Service Grant (CSSG), a program that will provide post-secondary students and recent graduates with volunteer opportunities to help with the response to COVID-19 at Canadian not-for-profit organizations.

Participating post-secondary students and recent graduates will be eligible to apply for a grant, which will provide from $1,000 to $5,000. Student volunteers that are working or receiving the Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) ($1,250 monthly, higher for students with disabilities or dependents) are also eligible to apply for a CSSG.
